Gamshooter is a versatile producer/beat maker from Toronto, Ontario who has been crafting his art for well over six years. He was drawn to hip hop music at an early age from hearing his older brother playing Run DMC and Fat Boy Tapes. After that, he was hooked on drum patterns and the art of rhyming words. Years later during his high school years, he enrolled into a music creation course and got his first taste of midi and sequencing sound. The next summer, he worked a part time job until he was able to afford his own small midi set up at home which led to playing around with live and sequenced recording. Years later, a chance meeting with Brooklyn, New York based MC/Producer Koba would help take Gamshooter’s music to another level. Producing two tracks for Koba’s group Kontrast’s “Pencils” CD, this gave him the push he needed to share his music with other atists and start building a catalog of songs. Gamshooter has gone on to work with artists from both sides of the border including, Bishop Brigante, Superbowl Battle Champion and Immortal Technique cohort Diabolic, West Coast legends Above The Law, Monoliths, Nish Raawks, Masia One, Vice Raw, T-West and fresh coast battle MC’s and Scribble Jam contestants Passwurdz and Bo-Rat. Gamshooter is currently working with long time friend and collaborator Koba on his debut solo album, due in early 2008. |
